How to Choose the Best College for MBBS Abroad?

Every student has different expectations from a university, but here are a few points worth checking before you take admission anywhere:

• Presence of an Indian Embassy in the country where the university is located.
• An international airport in the same city as the university.
• A city population of at least 7 lakh, so you get enough patient exposure for practical training.
• An established university — ideally at least 70 years old, with medicine as a long-standing teaching stream.

Can I complete MBBS abroad under ₹18 Lakhs?

Some agencies advertise packages of ₹14–18 lakhs, but we always ask students to calculate the full picture — tuition, hostel, books, library, travel, shopping and insurance all add up.

What are the new NMC rules for foreign medical graduates?

As per current National Medical Commission regulations, a foreign medical graduate is only granted permanent registration to practice in India if they have:

• Completed a foreign medical degree of at least 54 months' duration.
• Completed a minimum 12-month internship at the same foreign medical institution.
• Received their medical degree in English as the medium of instruction.
• Studied all mandatory subjects listed under Schedule-I.
• Graduated from a university recognised by the relevant medical regulatory body of that country, with a license on par with local citizens.
• Completed a further 12-month supervised internship in India after applying to the Commission.
• Cleared the National Exit Test (NExT) or any other test mandated by the Commission.
